The Northern Lights season in Finland runs from September to March, with the best visibility between December and February. Lapland offers the highest chances โ we have a 95% success rate on multi-night aurora tours. Clear, dark skies away from city lights are ideal.
Finland is part of the Schengen Area. EU/EEA citizens don't need a visa. US, UK, Canadian, Australian, and Japanese citizens can visit visa-free for up to 90 days. For other nationalities, please check with the Finnish Embassy in your country. Starting 2024, ETIAS authorization may be required for visa-exempt travelers.
Winter temperatures in Lapland typically range from -10ยฐC to -25ยฐC (14ยฐF to -13ยฐF), occasionally dropping to -30ยฐC. We provide all necessary thermal clothing and equipment. Our guides are trained in Arctic safety. With proper gear, it's very comfortable and manageable!
